Just saw a Tik Tok video claiming this was like the 5th WORST song of the 70s. I thought that can't be right, so I had to listen to it. Sure, some of the lyrics are a tad cheesy, and the music is simple, but it does what music should do. It invokes thought and emotion. It IS a good song. I guess the years have been kind enough to impart a little bit of wisdom to me. Music is awesome...cheers!

I loved must with a message as a child. This one and Honey were two that really were sad, but I loved them. Honey always reminded me of my lovely sister so it was even more special. She passed at 35 from cancer. We used to lay on our beds and listen to this song together.

My Step-Dad, Leroy died April 12, 2024, and the chorus refrain of this song has been running in my head off and on since. I was blessed to have him in my life since July 1994. Life is just not the same without him here. I miss him, but I hope to see him in Heaven once again by the Lord's grace.
